There's a joker in town who sells and fits them. I'll see if I can get his contact. They are around 3500 I think, plus fitting $$$$$$. I'll come help you fit it for beers.
Hey Bro, Haha thanks I got in touch with him this morning before I seen this, booked him in for Tuesday to install one for me. Come over for beers anyway.

So the time has come to invest in a hoist, I have found a Motorex 2 POST CAR HOIST CLEARFLOOR 4.5TON TON (MOTOREX) | Trade Me Marketplace which as of this Thursday has free freight to New Plymouth, a $200 saving, nice.
Or am I best to spend a little more and go for Car Hoist - Peak | Trade Me Marketplace , It is purely for home use, probably have a car parked up on it and never moved again Im that useless at completing things.
I see @yoeddynz you had or have a Motorex? Still happy? No issues? Thanks and any info be helpful.

Technically only a certifier is allowed to remove or fit a cert plate
You will end up with 4 holes to fill and paint too
Thanks for that, The plan will be to paint the car anyway so to weld up a few holes and paint isnt an issue.

There was a beams Altezza posted on FB for $1600 with a blown clutch.
It's hard to argue with any sort of 6 speed manual RWD LSD equipped car for that kinda money TBH.
As much as they're overhyped think about that price point compared to say $4k for a KE70 with a 4k, K40 and axles made from pool noodles.
Like you can just buy an Altezza and wail on it pretty much forever. This^^^ Id love another AE70 but the price Id have to pay these days its hard to justify. I really enjoy my Altezza's, to me they are the modern version, albeit 4 door, of the AE86. Not fast, yes slightly under powered but a blast to rev the crap of and I think handle real good. Just like an 86...
Currently spending 5 tidy manual Altezzas worth on the old 3SGE to squeeze 50% more out of it and see if its a bit more fun.

Toyota Altezza, Please dont judge me.....Haha

Yeah the rear lower arms are a spherical end and the front camber arms are just a hardened rubber.

Has anyone here had any issues having Hardrace suspension bits certified? I have had them on the car for a while with no issues just want to get it all legal beagle.

Cheers for that. Yeah I pretty much have read all of the above as to what can/will go wrong with it, my brain is telling me to run the other direction yet I can’t seem to let the idea go. I drove a Manual coupe, went bloody well, torquey as, gear throw is a little doughy but meh. Need to drive the auto see how that goes.

Yip that’s all I would be doing as well, remap, coil overs and some work rims and be done with it. The Mrs can then proceed to curb rash, dent and generally fuck it.

I'll be your mrs if things dont work out between you two.
Haha cheers I’ll keep that in mind...
I do love the M1 also but can’t justify the extra 50k for pumped guards really? Remapping the 135i can get more power and torque than the M1 for $950.

Anyone here have experience with BMW 135i’s? I’m thinking of getting one for the Mrs. Been looking at 2010 models just a little concerned about things going wrong, gearbox’s, Turbos etc.
They seem cheap for a reasonably newish 3.0l twin turbo and everything I have read say they handle and go real well.

Ive just put a base plate motorex into my garage at home, wanted a clear floor didn't have the roof height to make it work,
am super happy with it, single phase so a bit slower going up but not horribly, was $2100 delivered to my house plus dynabolts and oil, had the guy who services all the hoists in my workshop come and install it for me and had to buy proper anchor bolts as he wouldn't use the dynabolts as apparently they aren't up to spec for securing heavy machinery (only rated medium duty according to the dynabolt catalogue)
either way its 100x better than axle stands,
If you don't mind where did you buy the hoist from? I been looking around, Was worried the cheaper ones would be a bit light weight but you're pretty happy eh?

I had a similar issue when I installed my 30,000l tank, the digger operator dropped a load of sand on the top thinking it would fall off and fill in the hole it was sitting in. Instead it collapsed the top....
I got in there with a 6x6 post and a scissor jack and slowly wound the jack up in a couple spots and it pressed out sweet, after a few hot days any sign of any crease etc is fully gone.
