Got the engine out of the blue car last night. Gonna give it a clean, paint maybe and swap over bits like engine mounts etc from my other engine then swap subframes next weekend. Well I probably won't have to source another engine now! Today's efforts included getting my $50 parts car that hasn't run for over 10 years going. Swapped carb and distributor over from mine, bit of CRC down its throat, start in gear to unstick the clutch and away it went. Quite impressed to be honest. Then just swap subframes between the cars and be away laughing. Hopefully anyway

Bought some MG Rostyle wheels from Trademe. Thinking about building up a good strong engine, maybe some performance upgrades. But while I'm doing that I want to put another A series engine in place so I can keep driving it. ^What he said, thanks Dad Yeah I noticed you disappeared. It was on the ute because after coming down the hills I lost the tail light lens, swingarm nut and two sprocket bolts haha. I fixed that and have just put new tires on it, so it's all good now. Running sweet as it should

Not really a proper update, just wanted to share these photos I took on an old roll of film I found. But after it's been sitting for awhile and I start it, it blows white smoke quite a bit for about 5 mins. I think oil is leaking into the cylinders when it's off but I don't know where. Anyone had this problem with an a-series engine? Cheers

QFT . To try and stop this in my 1300 I need to replace the window seals like you did, have you still got the generic ones from Basis? I think they might fit my car if you're willing to part with them

Hey guys, can I get your opinions on something! I'm wanting to put a logo on the side of my car, kind of like a company car but with a logo/company from the 60s or 70s. I think it will look cool and be something different The only problem is I can't find a logo I really like.. I'm leaning towards NAC but I would like other options too The look I'm going for is something like this: Lada by mdw1968, on Flickr But with period NZ logos of course. Any ideas/tell me to shut up?

Picture heavyish post So this thing was running ok, then went to start it and was as smoky as and wasn't running right at all. Whipped the head off and found this: IMG_0109 by mdw1968, on Flickr Doesn't seem right at all. Turns out when we got the cylinder head reconditioned they didn't put a metal bung back in to block a water hole up so it has been pushing onto the gasket. After that was done I put new valve stem oil seals in IMG_0155 by mdw1968, on Flickr and am now in the process of putting new ignition parts on IMG_0163 by mdw1968, on Flickr This morning I picked the car on the right up.
