If you are doing an engine swap, use the compressor from that engine.
R12 in not available unless you know a guy.
Be wary of second hand parts unless they are sealed up. A tiny piece of debris can block the expansion valve.
You will need a new dryer.
Is the evaporator still in the heater box of your van?

I’d say it would be up to the inspector to decide. Could be failed with…
depends on the inspector’s interpretation of the VIRM & whether the suspension does what it needs to do.

As long as it’s 100mm above the road and has a gap to the bump stops, it’s fine.

Here’s the rules: https://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof-and-cof/general/vehicle-interior/interior-impact
As long as there are no sharp bits, it should pass a WOF.

I haven’t come across that before. Sounds like you need to do some digging. Sounds valve train to me.

“6. A windscreen and front side windows must be clean and free of obstruction to ensure the driver has sufficient vision through the glazing to operate the vehicle safely.“
https://vehicleinspection.nzta.govt.nz/virms/in-service-wof-and-cof/general/vision/glazing#tab3
it’s probably OK for a WOF, as it is outside the “Critical Vision Area”. End of the day it’s up to you as the driver. In saying that. If there was a sticker on the windscreen where that screen is it would fail.
I fail WOFs weekly where muppets have a phone holder stuck to the windscreen in front of their face. Have a look at the screens in front of taxi drivers and they pass COF.

We are too. Base is a cast iron pot. Big chamber is an and old LPG cylinder from a car with the ends cut off.

Zero smoke once it’s going. Neighbours have never complained.

We call them Estima here in NZ. You should try doing a “Zero Point Calibration” you will need a scan tool. There may be manual ways to do it with bridging pins on the OBD port.

For what it’s worth…
I’m a full time mechanic and a cheap bastard. I use a Ryobi 18v rattle gun at work, mainly because I already had batteries. I did have the cheaper brushed model that lasted 18 months until I wore it out. Took it back to Bunnings with no receipt and got a warranty claim. (Manufacture date is stamped on the tool). I paid the difference and got a “HP Blushless”. That meant I got a new 6 year warranty. I have used and abused it for a year so far without fault. I sure it’s not as great as a more expensive brand, but it does what it should.

Your best bet is to pop into a Toyota parts desk, ask them to confirm if your car came with one & ask them nicely to print a letter that says it didn’t. Then you have confirmed it is “as manufactured” unless, of course, it should have the load sensing valve.

@cubastreet Two Bald Bikers are great for ride forever courses. They also do CBTA tests. I would recommend doing a bronze course and book book your restricted test a day or two later with them. When you do the course tell them your are about to do the test. They will make sure you are ready and may take you around their test course. They also have lams bikes for hire if you need one to sit your test.
Head checks, head checks, head checks! Look down every side street.

Did you drive it? IS lacks a bit of leg room. GS is far more gentlemanly.
