  1. Santa gave me a nose to tail for Xmas! Really minor, but the douche who hit the back of me is dragging the chain in getting it fixed
  2. Yeah that's the one, just noticed that the classified listing has expired... hopefully it pops back up. No, unfortunately no spare plates here but you might find some joy on the GM-T forums Havent seen one with an A12/A15 but I can imagine it would go well. There was a sedan for sale in Hamilton a while back for pretty cheap with a Reco'd motor
  3. Cheers mate, those Viva wagons are cool but rare as hen's teeth. If you're interested in a Chevette wagon, there's a rolling shell I've been eyeing up on trademe, and a mate of mine has a 12A sitting in a shed. He's getting married soon so whould be keen to get some extra cash in. I can't realistically do the project myself for a while. Could be the Rotorvette Estate for you
  4. Discussion thread for this
  5. yeah that sucked.... new hose tonight Was a primo day despite the car wees
  6. any spare oldschool.co.ng stickers available? I'll need about 3
  7. Only had 2 runs before the heater hose burst and spoiled the fun, so the best I ran was 18.43 @ 116.5kms, but I'm sure it has more in it. Looking forward to the next drag day!
  8. So this happened Incredilbly fuel efficient this car, got from Mercer back to West Auckland without using a drop of gas! Glad I topped up my AA membership the other week
  9. Took the Chevette to Meremere for the Oldschool Drag Day (which I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone thinking of attending), was brilliant fun. Two good runs, then let my mate have a fang down the track and the blanked off heater outlet explodes and fires antifreeze all through the engine bay and through to his legs in the driver footwell! Didn't have any heater hose with me so tried to McGyver up a quick replacement with an empty water bottle and insulation tape. FIlled the radiator and discovered there was also a split on the hose leading from the block to the inlet manifold. Something missing here..... Filled the radiator and a few bottles of water and limped back to Mercer
  10. Close up of the photo on the rear hatch, gets a few chuckles.
  11. Got a replacement front right guard, just need to match up the paint and do that at the same time as the roof
  12. Discussion thread here Picked this up from Richard from Oldschool back in September. Only done roughly 180,000km's, drives well and suprisingly good on gas. No huge plans for it but hoping to tidy up the paint and panels, lower it and maybe tint the windows. Going to keep the original wheels but get some decent rubber on them.
  13. That’s pretty much all the work to do to the car until the wedding is out of the way, then it’ll be looking at getting the windshield/window rubbers replaced, a speedo cable made up (or an adapter for the old Vauxhall cable I have), carpet and a cert. Well, jinxed the shit out of that, wedding is off. Glad we figured it out sooner rather than later though. Don't pull out your tiny violins just yet, there's heaps of positive stuff happening (I won't mention exactly what just in case jinxy lightning strikes twice!). Also means I can free up some money to work on the Chevette First up, a pair of front brake calipers from a Pontiac Fiero courtesy of flyingbrick, and a pair of rear disc brakes from a Piazza. No photos as both are currently being rebuilt at Sterling Brake and Clutch in Penrose. Also got a spare G200Z camshaft reground, nothing too gnarly but should give it a bot more go and sound great I'll throw some photos of the spec sheet and the camshaft later.
  14. cant say I've ever been to Kaiaua, expressing interest.
  15. That bedford is rad, love the side pipe exhaust and white walls
  16. I'll be there now that I've got the right week. Shall be bringing the Chevette and a mate will bring the Piazza
