  2. Yeah could be interested were you running them on a 16v , what else would I need to get it running? Would I need the AGZE CAS, looks like previous owner could have been using my existing one? I don't have any ECU atm , programmable ECU? should probably work on getting it in the car first. (Carina) 3au cheers !
  3. is this what i'm needing/missing? "Ultra M.D.I. Multiple Discharge Ignition System" I guess the motor was running this or similar in Japan. Can't find one for sale though ofcourse. What's needed? Apologies for lack of knowledge on this but appreciate the help, Cheers guys
  4. Hey guys, Anybody got knowledge of this dizzy? Probably a stupid question (sorry, prepare for more). and what ignition to run/what setup had it been running? Got the whole motor as is from Japan a while ago, relatively unknown and no info about the dizzy. Thanks for any help OS'ers , im lost

Boring update for now, went ahead n grabbed these AE86 partsbymax adjustable suspension as i've heard a lot of good things about them, we'll see how much work will be needed to make 'em fit on Friday/Saturday once they arrive! They come with AE86 camber plates though which won't fit my strut towers, so not sure if i'l be re-drilling them or finding alternate camber plates to fit. Any good fab/welders in the Nelson area to get my stub axles welded? & crack testing in the Nelson area? (or closest one to?)

  9. So, I ordered a Nardi wheel about a month ago+ now, turns out there company is on a 'holiday' until the end of Aug.- Sept? WTF? So I got a refund on the deepcorn for now and grabbed this off AGRORB seen as I have a Nardi boss kit sitting here. (Cheers dude! The custom paint is nuts!) Wonder if the Carina can pull it off.
  10. & the MK3's arrived ! So I went n put my toyo's on. Not too happy about the guard clearance haha, coilovers fully wound down, and i'm already 85mm or so from chassis. More low ! Needs/(want) more low all round, rca's to stop my lower arms hailing Hitler, & to pull the top of my front wheels in 1deg or so somehow, either with camber plates or LCAs. Possibly 3mm or so slip ons for the rear to make it perfect if anyone has a pair laying around?
  11. All torqued up and backlash set. ta-da, done. Pretty damn stoked. Endedup putting the 4.3 cwp in at the same time so I don't have to rip it apart once the 4AGE arrives. I'l have to put up with it for 6 weeks or so, feels like I have more power but i'l be chewing the gas in the 4spd! There's a tiny constant whine during accel with the 2way in, but that's about it. No clunks or bangs. Turning full lock it starts to scuff if I give it a bit much, but seems pretty sweet for now ! What oils would you guys recommend? I just got some Castrol LSD90 from Repco for now.
  12. Sold the trd small axle, bought a Cusco big axle ! & all went smoothly! Poos open diff out; decided to leave the Cusco in 2way Sorry 'bout the shitty phone pics, (all i generally have on me at the time)
  13. It's in ! Will chuck up a few pictures later. Cusco 2way & 4.3cwp! Pretty stoked I can tick that off the list ready for the 4AGE. Nice & tight and doesn't scuff like a bitch when just turning circles unless I give it a bit much. Actually seems to go a lot better than the 3.7(i think) cwp I had in it? Especially 100kph+ ,I only have 4 gears at the moment though still ! Tiny whining noise going on, but other than that it's pretty sweet. No bangs or clunks that i've noticed yet. Quietens down when I put my foot down though. Normal? Diff oil recommendations? I just grabbed some Castrol LSD oil from Repco for now. 80w/90 i think. Oh, and my MK3's turned up ! Today was a good day.

  16. mm, so my sd card shat out yesterday awesome. Sitting staggered at the moment, until my MK3's turn up later this week hopefully; 14x.6.5 +10 & 14x8.5 -20 - excuse the shitty quality. & fixed my jdm chrome front grille need to fix that wonky bumper as well.
  17. $650 to a OS gc for the lsd. I have no use for it and help me fund my Cusco ! hm, i've counted the splines, pretty damn sure? Any other ways to check? it's in my garage awaiting my engine. Oh, and it has a short shift kit in it, not sure if that's a bonus or not. Thoughts on ss-kits? Never run one myself before, feels so tight.

  21. HELP?!! So i've had this sitting here; smallaxle TRD LSD & 4.3 CWP Pulled an axle out of the Carina yesterday to see if it will fit into my t series lsd... aaaand it doesn't fit by the looks. The teeth inside the diff are a lot sharper than my axles, suggestions? 86 axles? chop/weld 86 axles onto my existing axles? machine down mine?
