  1. Yes and no.. The plan with this - is to sell it relatively quickly as a work ute, something old school, that looks unique, and has modern day creature comforts, and reliability
  2. Awesome to see so many people interested! It will be a hell of a car once done. I'm still throwing motor ideas around, I'm sticking with a jappa motor.. For two reasons, the first, being I know them, the second being, any car that I own, whether japanese or not, will have some form of japanese part on it, whether it be gear box, engine, diff, springs, seats, etc. The cab is arriving to my work shop in about two weeks, so I should get some work/photos done then. Also roof chop is a maybe... Body drop is a yes..
  3. Haha cheers - and I would, but sorry - 1uzs, for what you get, you really cannot go past them. And on the tight time scale I have.. Simplicity is key!
  4. Hey all - long time member relatively new to actually posting! I have picked up a 1951 Ford Prefect that has a bit of work needed. However, I have set a goal in time to be ready for beach hop 2015, yes the next beach hop. The body is what I wanted, I have a new (ish) chassis to drop it onto, planning on running a Lexus V8 power plant, auto, rah rah rah Anywho - what I have. I have a cab... That is really about it. I am looking into building the tray at the moment, ford Prefects aren't particularly common in Utes, let alone a fully customized ute.. So building the tray is really a lot of fun.. I get to do essentially whatever the f*** I want. Ideas at the moment.. Wooden bed like the farmer pick ups you see in cartoons.. Or a seperate tray like you see on the old chev utes..
  5. Sorry I missed that. Oooh, could look good... You could try something similar to a pitcrew nose.. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRPlElj_zlVrbVO6lUS6B48Q3ceDKlMZRaa4Z3l0rvADk5AtW8G
  6. Sorry to be a downer.. I have to ask, what's happening with the popups? Your intercooler piping seems to get in the way..
