  1. Id be doing a front/mid/dry sump and or a modified/custom cross-member before cutting/massaging the engine bay if it was me Interesting that the 2GR and 4GR bolt patterns are different, but in saying that I know its been mentioned the RWD vs AWD/FWD blocks had different gearbox pattern
  2. Open or LSD? F series can have Altessa LSD centres installed yeah?
  3. Submitted for @Adoom’s approval. Those cam gears need some speed holes, lots of lightening opportunities for max RPM right??
  4. Hey Remind us what diff/ratio you have in this?
  5. Just a note re DBW ITB the 2022 Honda CBR1000RR has 52mm DBW ITBS Not sure if that's Inner Diameter however, I suspect the 48mm BMW S1000RR ones wouldn't be a limitation even with boost however
  6. Same box as in the Toyota Tacoma, think its just a parts bin special
  7. Its meant to be based off a truck motor so possibly similar to the R150 etc range but a newer design
  8. The IS250's AY6/RA62 transmission https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/264496988179 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aisin_AY_transmission Isn't the J160 also an Aisin box? I'd say it has more aftermarket support as well currently if you can make it work with the engine Re ITB if you could sync both tps couldn't you join the signal and divide it by 2 and then have the output go to both DBW controllers? Possibly oversimplifying this
  9. Thoughts on clutch options? guessing for your power level needs you won't need anything too aggressive Any plans to keep the DI and then also run port injection? or just going port injection as its easier. Im tipping with a decent intake and exhaust your looking 200kw, maybe a little more with some cams/headwork/aggressive timing
  10. 3d printed gearbox adapter converted to metal
  11. From memory Lexus also had a manual varient with a *GR engine. There was a thread on toyomods comparing The 2GR and the 1GR I think https://www.toymods.org.au/forums/threads/65328-2GRFE-Conversion-any-inputs
  12. Nice, know some ex Toyota Australia people that think the 2GR is one of the best motors Toyota has made and the 4GR is just less capacity. Apparently they make ok power with a intake and exhaust change as the factory stuff is restricted and they run factory rich I know you'll do your magic though, hoping for DBW ITBs again Some Hiluxs had the v6 as well so may be able to use a RWD box from that family.
  13. Makes perfect sense, yeah no point lifting the back if its not going to help Hopefully it helps drop down the engine bay temps be keen to see the before and after
  14. Going to space up the rear of the bonnet with some washers to allow some heat out the back as well? Can't remember bit are you going to coat/wrap your exhaust setup? Bonnet vents look good in my mind
  15. From memory, 4agze injectors are 365cc
  16. These are top feed correct? Any idea on length? Pretty sure Toyota 1NZ-FE injectors are the same/similar size and have better hole pattern/atomisation. Common to swap them into the 1gfe Lexus IS200 as they run better @Roman can you confirm? Edit 1nzfe injectors are high impedance
  17. Any idea what the drum vs disc rear end weight difference is? If not would be keen to read about it when you do it :p I'd also be keen to understand if it gives you slightly better braking performance, remind me are you getting any brake fade currently? In saying that swapping out pads each track day is surely easier then swapping drum shoes? Hopefully sideskirts make a difference, I think they look good though. Curious on how you utilise the filter options and see what you come up with.
  18. What year 4g93? Early model (GSR same year as evo 1-3) will be narrow block and will use the same narrow gearbox as the 4g63s use Fuel mentioned that l200 1980 onwards have the narrow block gearboxes or the RWD Sigmas
  19. Have a digital timing light plus a cheap strope one (didnt work on wasted spark) and also in Melbourne your welcome to borrow s3nd me a pm and can sort it in the new year
  20. Remind me is this running an electric waterpump? If so is it running a constant or varible flow rate based on criteria? What are the thermostat dimensions? Be interesting to see how it compwres to say a 4age one size wise. What temp does the thermostat open at? Edit: google says Japanese Prius Tech Manual says the thermostat specification is starting to open at 82C (180F) and fully open at 95C (203F) Can always drill a couple of holes into the thermostat if need be right?
  21. Exhaust looking good, I know you mentioned your not keen on exhaust wrap, could always look at ceramic coating? or alternatively maybe some heat shields to help keep heat away from things?
  22. I normally run my radiator temp sensors in the top rad hose as that's generally the hottest point and run the fans off that. Are you going to also set the ecu up so that the fans turn off at a certain speed? From memory anything over 60km and the fan is useless, can't remember but do you have shrouding on the rad with the fans? Any flappers? Be interesting to chuck and air intake temp sensor in front if the rad as well Keen to read about results
  23. Yip sold being picked up tomorrow, guy that's buying it will be getting it finished off professionally. It's his 4th one he's brought (sold his last one when his son was born) slightly conflicted about selling it as I doubt I'll ever be able to get another one Got a few spares I'll have to sell separately but got a price im happy with, and gives me some space back ete Stay tuned on what I end up getting next. (Probably be end of next year) Hoping a few things will come up as interest rates rise and people have less cash etc but will keep an eye out for deals/what pops up at the car auctions
  24. So TPS is now wired the correct way and the boost issue is gone, need to hook the factory boost control back up so its doing more then wastegate pressure Idle is better after a few tweaks still not how I want it yet but waiting on a new IACV to arrive to do some more fault finding, cold start wasn't amazing today :s (probably as the Bliss was all the way in) May have someone interested in buying it so may be sold this weekend, see how we go, didn't really want to sell it but just don't have the time with a 10month old and have lost a lot of motivation due to various issues Also of course its running the best it ever has and I am getting rid of it lol Pricing I am looking at selling for is enough for me to consider it, and I still have the AE111 back in NZ so can put some Dollars towards that again next year. I did have a quick look around at other projects/fun cars but prices are nuts here and nothing that I am really interested in, tbh don't really need another car :s and maybe I have another look at getting a larger bike again. Will miss having the option to tinker on something but have a few bits to do around the house Partners back at work in Jan as well
