Some rainy Sunday afternoon progress. Drilled and fitted some rivnuts into the boot to mount the fuel pump cradle. Then fitted the pumps... job done.

While I haven't been working on the car i have had other things getting made or ordering lots of stuff from the UK. A good friend of mine is making up a fuel pump mount and a dry sump tank... Here's the fuel pump mount / box that got delivered today.

Been pretty slack recently on getting our to the shed. Mainly due to it being freezing.. Found some almost perfect match 100mph tape ... just in case something happens..

A good friend of mine has a chromating bath for treating magnesium. He said he could sort my magnesium bellhousing for me. So after I blasted it as best I could he picked it up from me and worked his magic... Looks 100 times better and now its protected.

Also ordered a vinyl front number plate to go on the leading edge of the bonnet as there's no room on the front panel. Got it from Brent at Doozi.. awesome guy to deal with and awesome product. Check out his website as he does lots of other cool stuff...

Found the last rego sticker the Escort had and seeing as tho the new screen is now in there was only thing to do.

What else can you do on a wet Sunday... All my fuel line and fittings turned up last week. So after a bit of planning I set about making up the engine bay hoses and this is what I ended up with.

Afternoon peeps. Just got back from Greenland Speed Shop. I needed some brake hoses made up. These were made while I waited. Awesome service and WOF compliant. Was $1100... but I have two car sets. ( 1 set as spares ). Now to start fitting them...

Bit of a mid week update. Had Jeremy from Bespoke Autoglass come and fit my heated front screen and polycarbonate rear screen. New rubbers and mouldings from Palmside. Another job done..

Been really busy at work so no Escort time for a while. Have ordered all my fuel line fittings, hose and pressure reg from the UK so waiting for these to turn up. Have fitted a dummy block and head so I can start plumbing up the dry sump system.

Finished closing in the rear firewall. Now the rear window can go in once I recieve the new rubbers.

One of the jobs I have been putting off is closing in the fuel filler pipe where it goes through the firewall.. too many uneven surfaces, curves and generally a tricky job. A good mate popped over this afternoon and came up with a plan. So here's what I had to work with...

Also had a great score on FB marketplace last weekend. Managed to score a genuine Ford magnesium bellhousing for $130... only weighs 325 gms .. Very rare and very cool..
