  1. Yep, Toyota Peacock, such a beautiful colour. Looks blue in the shade but greeny in the sun. Are you planning on repainting it peacock again? I'm based in Wellington as well, would be cool to get together some time and talk KP
  2. +1 for wanting to know about fuel pump. Putting a 32/36 on a 5k and was wondering what i'll need to do for fuel delivery..
  3. Sounds like 5g towers to me, perhaps is john key gave us a skid pad we wouldn't have this conundrum No idea how tho sorry but it's not a bad thing, I mean.. Look at this beautiful machine
  4. Hypothetical question and possibly covered before so apologies if it has.. Car goes for WOF, fails on needing cert for.. I dunno, lets say coil overs because thats topical. Does this mean the car MUST get a cert to proceed to WOF status or can the suspension be changed to OEM and all good to go for a re check
  5. Could somebody please remind me where registration stickers used to go (the old school ones, not the behemoth ones in the corner)
  6. such a cool build and I love the fact you wanted to keep the factory body lines
  7. +1 for wireless mic pls Had to turn my speakers up while listening to the talking and it wreeeeeeecked my ears when the camera angle changed and noises were loud haha Alternatively, you could just run some subtitles Enjoying the videos none the less, looking forward to seeing the progression in both the cars and your YT career. Keen to see the following two videos if you're looking for ideas - Full garage tour, showing all the bits and pieces - Full garage clean up. This would be a very satisfying time lapse haha
  8. Subbed, looking forward to seeing all the projects you do. Sweet garage set up
  9. Quick little update.. Bike WOF was approaching fast and I needed a few things.. 1. Indicators weren't E marked 2. Tail light was integrated with indicators and not acceptable + the difference between tail and brake light was marginal and you'd argue very unsafe if you didn't have your wits about you/person behind didn't have their wits about them 3. Rear tyre wasn't goneskies completely but I wanted to swap it out for a better quality one 4. Rear brake pads were at a marginal level.. Would have needed to be replaced in 1000 kms so was a no brainer to swap out while tyre was getting changed. I ordered some dome indicators and an orbit tail light from Purpose Built Moto. Here is a reminder of how it looked before front and rear I wasn't sure on how to mount the new tail light because I need to make sure I can still get the rear hump off as it's got a seat under there for the little man so best option was to tuck the number plate up even further and run the tail light underneath. I also didn't want to run the indicators either side of the plate so grabbed some shock mounts for the new indicators.. Looks much cooler IMO Happy days, really happy with the results. These have to be the brightest indicators i've ever seen.. Even in direct sunlight they're incredibly bright. Tail light when on lights up the outer LED's like a halo and then the centre lights up about 20 LED's which are also blindingly bright.. Also while it was in the shop I had them set the suspension up for my weight. I felt the ride was too firm and I felt every little bump.. New tyre + adjusted suspension = whole new bike! Very happy.
  10. Spent some time here and there on the Thruxton over the last week New parts put on are Clip on handle bars Triple tree clamp off an older model Thruxton, powdercoated gloss black front fork boots BCC Headlight brackets Round mirrors (only had one mirror previously) And then after I went for a shake down ride, I got home and my Motone Microblade aluminium screen turned up with a few bits of dress up bits. I couldnt resist putting the screen on but will get some proper pics when i've made some more changes
  11. If I brought a car that was stolen and recovered and then de registered from insurance company - would they have removed the VIN plate off the firewall? Engine, chassis and plate number etc match up so i don't think it's too much of a dodgy situation but if that a major if it's missing for the re vin process or do they create a new one anyway?
  12. Watermark signs back at it again with producing the decals - This time a tail piece for the cowl, the lines and also the number I also slapped on some yellow tint on the headlight. It really irks me how I spend hours on polishing the headers to a mirror finish and after a 20 minute ride its back to dull..
  13. Did some shed stuff today Removed integrated tail light as WOF man says it's a no no Reverted rear mud guard back to standard (removed chopped one).. Added round bullet indicators and lucas tail lamp for that era specific vibe Also installed new valve starter set, manifold gaskets, put OEM air box back in, changed jets, played with air/fuel ratio, removed old gas, added new gas and tuned to a perfect idle. First time it's idled without pops and splutters. I will never go aftermarket air filters on a carb bike again, if I can help it.. About 10 different jet test runs and I could never get it running right. I might even take it for a hoon sometime this weekend to blow the cob webs off before going for a WOF
  14. Completed the Ride Forever Gold course today with Two Bald Bikers and had a blast 10/10 would recommend
  15. Picked up a new set of wheels recently 2013 Thruxton 900 with plenty of goodies
  16. Thats looking tough man! I actually don't think that rear guard looks bad at all to be honest.. I hear sissy bars are quite easy to make - that could be a little mini project to keep you going for all of an hour haha. Surely you could make something rad out of scrap you have laying about! Would be cool if you had some twisted looking metal. Would match the springer front
  17. My woffer didn't mind the brake and tail light but wasn't okay with the integrated indicators so went for some really small LED ones on the side.. Might be an option if you run into this. Looking goood man!
  18. Putting on seat covers is a pig of a job! I have a new found respect for upholster-ers! That hoop job looks tidy man, nice work
  19. Thanks man, appreciate it! I hoped it would be a little darker to be honest but it has grown on me and I am happy with the outcome! I am going to sell it after lock down so if you're genuinely interested, slide into my DMs and we can chat
  20. Thanks, yeah exactly that man! I popped the original staples off (most were rusty so had to file them flush after they snapped) and attacked it with a bread knife and very gritty sand paper.. Even better if you have an electric bread knife! I did use a new seat cover (i'll link it below) because mine had a rip in it but at long as you're gentle with your original I can't see why you shouldn't get away with using the original but for the sake of $35 you'd have a fresh looking cover. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/motorbikes/parts-for-sale/seats-seat-parts/listing-2596776032.htm?rsqid=9a91f7625c4f428bbfdd7e4eb511a81f-001
  21. I love this build man, I can't wait to see a video of it burning around your drive way
  22. I realised I hadn't updated this in awhile.. Not much has changed really. My GB's tank was poked, the seams leaked so I picked up a new one which was internally mint but externally a bit fooked. I fixed the dents, Por15'd the crap out of the inside to avoid leaking in this one, painted it myself in a glossy winter grey and added some cool racing stripes for additional HP. Pretty happy with how the colour turned out with the stripes.. Went for that same colourway with gloss black and matt black. Just need to put the drivers side mirror on and it's ready for a warrant check after lock down.. It might be time to flick this one off.. I also picked up a GD250n that had a blown motor.. Got a new motor in it and did a tail tidy.. It had problems with the TPS which I got fixed and went for a WOF. Failed on brakes and fork seals.. Replaced those/got them fixed and rode to work a few times before the mrs decided she liked the look of it and started to ride it Shes hapu so her riding days are over for awhile so this will be going up for sale once lock down is over. A couple months before lock down I nabbed another GN250 that I couldn't pass up on. I intend to fix and flip this. Needed some love/work. The electics were on the piss, the brakes were shot, fork seals were well and truly shot and was just lacking.. well, basic maintenance. Ordered a bunch of parts and it sat in the shed until I could find time to do anything about it.. Low and behold, had some time over the last couple of weeks to tinker with it. This was the state of arrival.. After new brakes, spoke wheels, new bars, new grips, re shaped seat, wiring all sorted, and a whole lot of elbow grease and love.. this is how it looks After lock down i'll go for a warrant check, fix whats required if anything is required (seems OK to me) and flick it off.. The red Hyo is in the shop for a WOF.. It failed on tyres and exhaust had a hole in it, so that's locked up at a workshop currently not being worked on which is all good. Thats really it I guess..
