Is there some sort of lyfe hack for getting paint off motorbike plastics? Or just good old fashioned sanding?
ALSO, has anyone had good results sanding/polishing scratches out of clear plastic windscreens or the like?
Petrol works if its just spray cans.

Its like standing in a pool of piss upto your neck with a pile of shit about to dump down on your head, do you duck down under the piss to avoid the shit? Or do you just stand there and and take the shit.

You may do more harm than good if they are going to sit around

Is he a watch maker?
Those staking tools are money
He is a machinist and fixes old watches. That whole lathe is almost 1k worth, a set of those Colletts is $700

I had an XF falcon ute and it was ok, wipers always failed and window winders shit, but nice to drive, excellent brakes, did about 700,000 kms and no real problems,

All I did to mine was bore it 1mm as it was very scored and raidous the bottom of the transfer ports on the cylinder sleeve bottom, gut the inside of the expansion chamber and rejet the carb, now it will get the front wheel up in 2nd and 3rd gear with a twist of the trottel, people fit a kawasaki KX 80 ignition system witch makes them rev more,
I wouldnt touch the cylinder head as I am getting detonation on the over run with stock squish, like Greg T says it will get difficult fast.
I am trying to work out if the TS125 cylinder is any better than the TF, the part number is almost the same, TF has a low 1st gear, and slightly different crank caces but the gearbox will interchange

The lack of a front brake is interesting. Suggests that the bike was multi use. Did he ride it on Waiheke Island prewar ?
Yes it was used for all sorts of things, he is doing a flying mile in that photo, the dame engine from that bike is not in the Manx I ride witch won a race on Waiheke and he also got a 3rd as he had to push it over the line as it ran out of fuel

I tried retarding it but didn't do anything, it only goes away when its super rich to the point the engine cant rev, I may have to just live with it
-
My TF125 is knocking under engine braking and at about 2000 rpm when not under load, I can make it richer and it will be less but then it bogs. Needle is as high as it can go and I have gone up 2 sizes in the main jet, I went up a size in the pilot jet but this has caused it to hesitate
I wonder if I should use 95 octane or retard the timing? I have never come across this problem before, its making so much more power than a stock tf

The register had some strange attitudes. Still has in some areas. I've told Ken what I thought of some of their decisions.
Ken made the rules so his bikes with desmo and electronic ignition and belt drive pimary can run in the factory class

I can make you a port map from something I have here but you would need a sleve with no ports to start with as it needs an exhaust port bridge
