  1. diff has been annoying me for ages. back on page one it shows how i modded the axles. have ground all the welds back, hopefully i can press them apart and shorten more. last time i shortened it, made it so the gold rims fitted nicely, but that was still slightly wider than the factory setup. case has a bit of toe out. been wanting to fix this for ages as well. will be setting it up with a little toe in, should hopefully make the ass end feel more planted. plus a little camber. has heaps of grip up front, after doing the mods a few posts up. so should get away with dialing a bit more into the rear. ^wasn't planing on cutting everything off the case, needed to happen though likely run these 02's all round on the street,

  4. Get a prof to do the plastic welding- lots of ppl around who do it. Por15 has been used by Rodders for years as top coat. There's some good guides around on painting cars in the stuff with a roller ( and then sanding the shit out if it to get it smooth.. Then repeat) You may as well borrow/buy a spray gun and compressor and just give it a quick flick in normal paint.. Couldn't look worse than por 15

  6. Lol. Ford x flow's firing order is 1243, I'm to lazy to work out if your rule still applies? Tech had one on a stand in the tune up room I used to stop what I was doing to hear people try and start it / backfire / whinge.

  7. More pics with a still, but less, shit camera: Shows fitment with 25mm spacers either end. Not quite touching in the rear, but too close and no room for suspension movement. Will machine spacer 5mm, roll goard and raise 1/2", should work hopefully. Front guards are rolled now, but no room for suspension or steering. Will machine 10mm off spacer, raise 1/2" and go from there.

  8. the only wires that were still visible in the engine bay were the plug leads. i had a few different ideas about how i wanted to run them but for one reason or another those various ideas wouldn't work. then i though about those old style tubes that run the lead inside like on luxury cars from around the 30's. i spoke to my friendly local sparky about the pros and cons of doing this and we decided it would work. so, here is what ive made. the leads run through the tube and out a slot that runs along the bottom. ive also made a cover for the top of the dizzy so you cant see the leads or the dizzy at that end either. the leads arn't in yet but they do fit down the tube (just). both the tube and the cover will get powder coated black. sheepers.

  9. On my birthday I received a unique/awesome gift, a render of a 3D printed gear knob that Karl was gonna make me. Render: Yesterday I got given the newly printed Hotwire gear knob itself and it is simply too awesome for words. We thought maybe the strength would be compromised but it is completely solid and will look so badass. The stats are ACD 7/3 R94 Cheers Karl!

  12. Picked up this puppy from BOC yesterday. Unfortunately I didnt have enough $$ for some wire as well So that will have to wait till pay day. $630+GST. Pretty happy with that. I decided to do what I could to straighten the front bumper. The mounts were pretty rusty so I chucked them in the blast cab then gave em some POR15. They are now the best looking part of the car! I didn't have hopes of getting it looking perfect. Just wanted to make it look a little better. Before After Paint doesn't match but I dont care for the mo. Will probably paint the whole truck in the next 6 months so Ill do it properly then (and purchase some panel hammers and dollies)

  13. The Rover blew a small hole in an old cooling system hose, making a mess as all the pressure in the cooling system sprayed radiator stop-leak everywhere. So I went to Pick-a-part and got a Falcon hose to chop up to mend poor Rovie. By now, the cooling system is so pressure-tight that I'm concerned something very inconvenient could happen, such as an explosive heater core rupture. Time to put a bullet in the big six. Ideally at this stage I would find a cheap V8 manual SD1 for sale with the body beyond saving.
