That's 5 sides to 120 grit. Need a bit more filler in some spots and more sanding. I ordered some tung oil which arrived the other day. Should really do a test piece on a offcut first but probably won't as I've already got the tin of oil and may as well use it

opps, i did it again, sheepers's green POS MS75 crown.

https://oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/91912-opps-i-did-it-again-sheeperss-green-pos-ms75-crown/&do=findComment&comment=2772294

The band new carburetor i bought about 6 years ago needed all the fucked things (mainly due to being badly made in China) fixed on it before it could disappoint the human race on an engine.

	So I did that

Then I had to make a new water neck thing because the 55 year old one is rusty for some reason. I made a new one out of stainless so it might last another 55 years.

Then I painted the inlet manifold and bits.

One of these days I'll find out if this engine actually runs.

Kimjon's 50cc (then later ... 150cc and 400cc...then 1000cc) of awesomeness! I've re engineered both sides, and spent longer than I'd care to admit (probably upwards of 10hrs) machining up adapters, pivot arms, linkages, stand off etc. I can count 18 different parts that I've had to make in order to get both sides to function.

Would I do this again...ummmm...not so keen. I made my harley forwards controls and they look a lot more impressive, but took half the time. These have been a right cunt of a job.

It was the right price (found in the scrap bin) was a old transformer enclosure but transformer is long gone

The transformer, power supply and amplifier boards all fit relatively well inside that footprint. It's way too tall but that's a easy fix with some careful marking and a cut off wheel.

Laboratory power supply, made the little switching box today to mimic been in car so has switch for battery power (simulated) and ignition on. Some pcms want a key off cycle to reset after a flash so I can safely power up watch current draw flash do a key cycle then power down.

Works mint! I need to buy some connectors so I can plug in different PCM harnesses to the switch box easily. Currently have all GM stuff but also have Volkswagen OBD devices too.
