Brighton's 1984 Toyota Mark ii grande 1ggze gx71

Hello all, so as some of you may know Kane Munro finally parted with his Mark ii. I picked it up from welly on the weekend of seafest and drove it back to Christchurch. Even as far a bringing it back to his old flat where it once lived.

Now most of you know the history of it. Originating from the hands of cute wee gem. Where it got a new heart in the form of a 1ggze mated to the factory w57 gearbox through to an f series irs rear. A new lick of paint and some cusco coilovers in the front with some rcas.

Now I won't have much to post till I get a job/some money since I've been on ACC for a couple of months after

Losing a finger but it'll get there.

Starting with new wheels. Looking at some 15x9 or 10 Japanese wheel alloys. Upgrading all the suspension to some bc golds all round. Doing all the necessary protective mods, chassis sliders, sump guard, get the exhaust up and out of the way. And hopefully the main one I've been looking forward to, a smaller pulley for the supercharger to squeeze a few more psi into it so I can keep up with fresh. Probably accompanied by a sneaky wee intercooler setup I'm yet to figure out...

I also have a digi dash that I would absolutely love to get wired up to finish off the lush porno interior.

So far I've done all the basic fluid changes, coolant, thermostat, oil and filter. I even swapped another altezza lsd into it with fresh fluid for more fun in the wet. Will update with pictures etc once the internet is back on and I can jump on my laptop.

Probably about time I finally updated this been flat out since getting it ready for the South Island 4s&rotary champs.

So prepare for a dump....

I decided to get my A into G about two weeks before the show. I still had to get wheels built and tyres fitted and prep/paint guards and bumpers.

Starting with the wheels. I bought a set of ssr jilba racing wheels off of Aidan at Pine engineering. They're now a lovely custom shade of red and widened to a cozy 15x8.5 all round. (No more spacers yay!) I squeezed some 185/55 tyres onto them.

lowered it a few more mm (will be getting bc golds all round when I have the coin and going lower.) fixed and painted the guards myself which came out pretty bloody good but will be getting redone when the rust in the roof gets fix and it will get a full respray.

I've since bought an alloy radiator for it and I'm waiting for a mate to fold me up a fan shroud for it.

also waiting on a mate to machine up my new pulley for the supercharger to crank the boost up from 7 psi to somewhere around 14. Which should make for a bit more fun and heat.

I've got a new exhaust system in the pipeline just doing some adjustments and getting a few more pieces together for the ideal system. Should sound goooood.
