Valiant
Cool, very cool. Â So some of it is Skoda? How about some mechanical details?
Frosty
Bugger me. Flat mate had one in Papamoa in the late 90's. I never thought I would see another one. Looks great mate, please keep us updated.
Ghost
The only real Skoda part is the Transaxle, the early models had Skoda steering to but I think they switched to Triumph later on.The dash is out of a Holden Camira I am told, not too sure though? DB8-TypeR
Ive driven a few Herons, a different model though... The site I did my apprenticeships at had a fleet of these, made by Heron in 1996 according to the labels
Raizer
That sure looks like a Camira gauge cluster, but I'm not sure about the rest of the dash. Fucking cool car!
63Ragtop
X2 on the fucking cool car!
kws
Super cool. My boss was watching this on TM, and being a Heron himself it would have been appropriate, but he has too many toys as it is. Keen to see how this turns out.
flyingbrick
Wow, the designer is quite an interesting chap!
Transom
Yup from reading his story it seems like the Camira dash was the beginning of the end from kitcar to corporate fuckup Also seems like our OPs car is one of the finest made and the creator even bought it for his daughter at some point More photos of your awesome and rare piece of nz oldschool motoring history please
yoeddynz
Such a cool car. If I had more pingas at the time I would have been keen. Glad someone on here bought it so we can all follow your progress.
azzurro
Yeah!  Twin cams for all the things!  I have quite a lot of enginey bits and parts, (I counted 2 complete engines (NFS), 4 heads and two disassembled blocks in the lock up yesterday ) so don't forget to ask in case you need anything  What engine code is it (first few numbers/letters stamped on a small flat area by the oil filter)
