J-Calico
Yea, getting along well. (I understand its probably much further along/nearly completed IRL?) Was there sentimental value with the original white body, (being you have owned it for many years and was your first car) as to the reason you didn't fix the red body instead? Must be the most involved restoration to take place in Fiji, my thats a lot of work! Good on you guys though. Can't wait for more updates/finished
Hachi-ichi
Robots in Nissan's factory did less work assembling the car! hugely industrious build~ rad.

Shawn
I did not know this topic was here and ill answer a few questions Yes that was a tarkari break Yes the red car would have been a better shell to use but there was a whole lot of sentimental value in the white one and its a combo of 3 cars...ill show you This the first one we bought here in US... (this one is in the boxes in the first picture) The second one, well already owned for 20 years The third one bought in Fiji All three were used very well if anyone has questions ill gladly answer them
flyingbrick
Did the door gaps line up ok?
RUNAMUCK
I met a bloke last weekend from greymouth who owns a US spec 6cyl Maxima wagon. 910 chassis platform, with the longer front subframe and the four square headlights. He says it's the only one in NZ. (I'd believe that) Your work is breathtaking. Such dedication and commitment.
Shawn
Yup the door gaps lined up good and I would also believe that, thats the two things we blended together the car is about 4 inches longer now because of the maxima frontage
CaMpylobacter
so much dedication! a tip of the hat to you good sir!
77magnum13hundy
you guys certainly dont muck around do ya! havent seen a car rebuilt to this extent before maybe the odd patch here and there, but wow you guys have it looking good. Well done to you and your team
Shawn
there is still much left to do, the power steering rack is leaking, been searching many places but its hard to find a Lhd one, engine still needs a good tune, door panels were newly upholstered but the color is a bit off from the seats so that needs to be changed..... you know small things
J-Calico
I dare say your well past the most involved stage of the restoration though! Can you request a new page for the build thread please/mods please
Shawn
I thought it would just go to another page when it was full? there isnt really that many mods the car besides the maxima frontage and all will think of the few there are and post it
