I've just bought a worked crossflow for it, but I need to get a carb for it. I'm wanting to get a cheap weber for now then save up for some sidedraughts or have a play with bike carbs in the future.

I've been offered a crossflow manifold and a weber 32/36 DGAV off a 2.0L pinto. Is this carb going to work as I want it to? Will need to re-jet obviously, was planning on jetting it to same specs as this to get it running then have a play with a wideband. From some research it seems that some people don't have any issues at all with these carbs, others say that they don't idle properly and aren't right for the engine.

So I need a new one of these for the new inlet manifold. Is for the water jacket. Small end is roughly 13mm, big one 16mm. Ideally a bit longer at the hose connector end. Any suggestions for where to look for one? Haven't looked hard yet, had nothing at the local repco.

Hydraulink or a hydraulic hose fitment type place will have something, will likely have one threaded end of elbow and potentially a barbed other end. Shouldn't be hard to get a hold of, just find out what thread, etc. it is/take it in and have some yarns.

Nice work man. Do you know the specs of the engine? Still contemplating side drafts or bike carbs?

Cheers. Not entirely sure about the full specs of the engine, know it has been fully rebuilt (top and bottom end) with a port and polish job, oversize valves and a bit of a cam.

Yeah, haven't ruled them out at all for the future. Will get everything running sweet on the 32/36 to start with, then look into my options after my finances have recovered a bit.

regarding those fittings, I bought one of those aluminium ones, they are pretty trash but I could send mine to you if you want. Otherwise pretty sure a bsp threaded brass fitting should fit

good job putting new motor in, dont stop the progress now!

I got some stainless fittings from Hydralink in the end. They are a tiny bit small on the output end, but might be able to take up the slack with a hose clamp though. Won't really know until my hoses get here. Thanks though man!
