Allighnment is all out of wack of course, but thats ok as i still need to skim a bit off the flywheels because the plates are a bit (lot) thicker than planned but thats ok. 10mm aluminium sounds good to me :P weighs a bit though but meh.

So next is

  • - welding the sprockets on
    - making first reduction sprocket holder shaft thingy
    - making tensioner shaft
    - connecting all the throttle cables
    - fuel lines
    - start?
    - get a couple more plugs

Cheers guys :)

Made a mock up of the throttle cables (thanks bike barn and Sam)

10 brake/gear outer cables and 10 adjustment thingies

Will re-do it as this was just to see if it would work (and it doesn't really work like that)

Will make a decent width allignment bar where the outer cable will go through 1" or so piece of aluminium to get them all to point the same way nicely, and from there go to the adjustment bolts. The adjustment bolts will all be in 1 line or else it's impossible to adjust them and will thread into the bar holding them. Both the alignment bar and adjustment bar will also double as spacers for the two plates. From there the inner cables will meet and join the single main throttle line. Will hold that in place with a couple cable clamps or something.

Something like this;

Open to other ideas though!

I like!

I was thinking of using something like a hinge from a door as they are nice and thick to pull all the cables with and pull the hinge with the main cable. This way i can also change the throttle ratio by moving the main cable up a bit and the engine ones down as the engines have a tiny range of throttle... (if that makes sense) but i could do the same with that ^^^ idea by putting the shaft on a lathe and make it different sizes to get different ratios :)

my other idea anyway;

Cheers :)

Got the plates spaced apart now thanks to Dave and Cam. Wouldn't have been able to get anywhere near this far without these two. Cam for helping me with ideas and talking about what the next step is etc while we're supposed to be working, and Dave for being an all round OS GC! He cut most the shit, machined most the shit, helped with plenty of sweet sweet ideas and has put in a large amount of hours! Hope i can one day repay him that favour :)

So, photo time :)

Alignment is SWEET IMHO!

So now to work on throttle cable, tomorrow fuel and Thursday hopefully get the chain on so i can fire this b!tch up!

Oh, it got a bit heavy due to 10mm plate... 27KG as it stands...
