Borgweiser
Must be hard getting into something that steers and stops after.. Love the SD1 man, great body on that one. There's only one true solution. Injected 3.9 motor and rimmer bros 2.5'" exhaust all the way through. Just finishing up on a three year rebuild of a VDP for a customer, elsewhere did the body but I did the mechanicals. When you sample one that's built up as it was intended, they are a magical thing.

j.e.d.
Seeing that ^^ and a pic in the aussie car pic's thread reminded me of how much I missed the Nissan Mobil 500 down in Wellington. Those were the days.. (Peanut Slab Rover in this clip to stay relative to this thread)..

Threeonthetree
So I'll start off with a 3.5 V8 in the Series Two. Maybe an injected 3.9 after that, not really too sure. But a P76 4.4 litre V8 would be the ultimate iteration.
dr.wylde
But a P76 4.4 litre V8 would be the ultimate iteration. When You took delivery of this car this was the first thing that came to mind The P76 4.4l then again when you can come across all of those donor vehicles doing the rover 3.5 is a no brainer really
