Guest ryanfels
If he ditches the AC pump and runs a shorter belt, wont the tensioner still pull it in the right direction as normal? aka no modding needed?
Guest sheepers
probably.

Guest Seedy Al
Ah yip, i see what they have done there. Swapped the tensioner pully for a Ribbed one. Well i just picked up an alternator adjuster off another car at the wreakers. Will see if that is going to be ok to work. will take picks for people future refernce if it works
Guest e30-323ti
IIRC it's an idler pulley off a VN common-whore (with the V6), and is a bolt-on.

Guest sentra
duude i chased a squeel for a month increasing contact angles etc with no luck (non auto tension) one day i pinged a brand new volvo truck serp+non auto tensioner and it was twwwaaangin i discussed this at length with them and they lolled and said they have very lottle stretch cold but increase in length as they warm up, abd tgey had to have them tighter than jillyz on a 12a monsta port from the mount to maintain hot tension so i jumped on the adjuster with a 2m pole and solved the problem yolo you have an auto tensioner? is there more to its story?????

Seedy Al
maybe........ Will have to double check hub measurments I gues one other option is seeing if I can hve the centers of the wheels machined out more to suit
4AG_Addict
Al your spacers should be OK, this is from the LVVTA standard  Wheel adaptor location 2.5(5) A wheel adaptor fitted to a low volume vehicle between the hub and wheel assembly to affect a change in the wheel stud pattern, must locate with a close tolerance fit using the centre spigot or tapered wheel nuts or bolts:  ( a ) the adaptor against the hub assembly; and  ( b ) the wheel assembly against the adaptor.  Certainly wheel spacers (like slip on type) are required to locate on a center hub, but bolt on type (adaptors) are OK without them. That's the way I read it anyway.
