Yea got the exhaust done aye, I went for extractors in the end.. after all that work I spose the least I can do is put extractors on lol  Had to get them modded quite abit so that they'd fit, but its all sorted now so yeh 8)

Brakes are just the standard MK2 ones aye, they still pull up the added weight of the 2ltr and 5 spd box real well.

Has all new pads/shoes and new wheel cylinders, rebuilt the front callipers and master cylinder too.

More pics are on the way, just gotta get off my ass and take some haha :P

U still using the normal esky brakes? and they work alright?

i got the 2.0 capilers on the front of mine and i still dont think its right either that or im too used to how my subaru stops which is like instant!!! or my booster is stuff heh.

what size exhaust u running ?

Yea bro haha. Hmm could be that you're used to the suby brakes, but still, they shouldn't be that bad aye.. have u tried moving the pistons to see if they're free?

Booster could be stuffed aye.. to test it, just hold your foot on the brake with the engine off, then start it up and the pedal should drop down abit

Running a full 2.5 inch exhuast straight off the extractors 8)

I also found out why it idles so crap.. its just running wayy to lean, im looking for some bigger idle jets now.. so yea hopefully that sorts it out.

choice 2.5" how many mufflers u running? lol

Yeah mines got 2.5" off extractor thru a sports muffler in the middle not only does it make the car rev faster it sounds awesome too but does get abit loud when u get to the higher rev's

yeah hope u can get the idling sorted aye u running the 32/36 carby? might pay to try and get the 40/40 carb off the 3L v6 capri pretty hard to come by but they are that much better then the 32/36.

Yea it does sound wicked aye, just gone one semi-baffelled sports muffler about halfway through lol. Is your muffler one of those fully straight through ones?? dam thatd be loud haha.

Yup, running the 32/36... your pinto has a lumpy cam aye, with a 32/26? what size idle jets is it running?

Does the v6 capri carb fit onto the standy intake manifold or?

my muffler is like a coby but its not a coby its some sort of sports type one which is meant to be better and its not baffelled :D

yup sure does have a lumpy cam haha, i was running the 40/40 carby on it never tryed the 32/36. It idled fine tho both throats open at same time and has quite a few setting on it so engine never had any problems getting air/fuel

only problem i had was it would backfire thru the carby i dunno if thats normal for it or old age but thats what caused my fire i think but was fine when running air filter on it.

and yup bolts straight onto the 32/36 manifold best thing about it =)

2.5 is huge for a 2lt isnt it?

i run the standard esky brakes still and they do the trick you just gota be used to pushing your foot down harder than a normal car thats all. I was driving my old mans wrx after the escort and nearly shat myself when i braked for a corner cause they are so sensitive haha.

you still keen on selling me your bosskit bro?

Might have to keep a look out for one of those 40/40 carbs then aye :) I'll rejet mine for now and see how it goes tho..

Backfiring through the carby happens when the ignition timing is over advanced I think...? could be a good idea to check that out aye, would seriously suck if it happened again

Nah boss its about right I think aye, 2 1/4 could possibly be more ideal I spose.. but meh, I had a 2.5 on the 1300 and it was alright :P

You still not got a bosskit? Dunno if I'll be selling it just yet aye..funds don't allow me to buy a new one for the momo right now.. or anything come to think of it :? haha

You can be first in if I sell it tho.

hmm possiable but i dunno i hadnt really tuned the carby so thats probably why. Only really backfired thru the carby when i didnt run a air filter so got more air kinda weird but the way the car was setup went sweet as and got it upto 200k easy as so if something was major wrong im sure it would of went BANG :).

i think 2.5" is a perfect size for a worked 2ltr works really well

Yea bro, its almost sorted aye.. richer jets helped heaps, so yea just needs abit of minor tuning now I think 8)

A bit more updated info in the Build-ups section...

So how did the 40/40 go compared to the 32/36 bro? could you feel the difference?

Oh, does yours die like when the revs drop too quickly as you're coming to a stop?

yep like the whole car dies but i havnt tuned the carby yet, yeah i do notice the differences between the carb but i think the 32/36 will do the job good once tuned and will do me intill i get twin sideys

but then again ive got it idling at 500rpm so its lumpy as  but when i put the 32/36 carby on my car it sounded so much better then the 40/40

At one stage before i put my rear muffer on it sounded like a rotory

hopefully get my video camera working on my pc lost the software for it :( but yeah ill try record a video of it :D then u will be able to hear it :D
