  1. I have a serial link for sale in brand new condition brought for my dx that never got going properly $150 0273395994 Mike
  2. Yeah i recommend Craig Howser. Does a bloody good job and doesnt charge out the bum.
  3. ive got a 26mm spanner and 26mm socket... give me a txt 0273395994
  4. 15 - 25mm. Ive got 20mm clearance in my driveshaft. ATL driveshaft balacing and shortning are really good/helpful. They in hamilton What good practice to do is to measure from the SEAL in the gearbox to the front flange on the diff. Make your own mesaurement but give this measurement to the driveshaft guys and they will tell you what it should be Mike
  5. haha yeah There are v8 hillman avengers around ? Pretty similar setup arent they ?
  6. You can get proper hydrualic handbrake master cylinders to run inline in the rear brake system or just use a master cylinder without a resivour and obviously has to have in and out. Just run them in an oppoisite way as a proper hydraulic master cylinder would normally be plumbed up (this is just hearsay but yeah sounds reasonable) Just find the rear brake line. bend it up to the handbrake.. make a new line and run to the calipers. Mike
  7. Sr20de+t just did one on my ke70... 4age ? Not really to sure of the underbody and engine bay sizes The internet is your playground. Go searching for peoples projects and see what they have done
  8. Just go for a worked 2L motor Non crossflow carbied etc etc Boss / Friend has one and makes 116kw at the rear wheels Mike
  9. Yeah I agree. D2 and Ksport handbrakes look the part and easy to install. But come at a cost. 300 - 399 for one of those handbrakes 100 - 200 for the one i posted.. With my one ive used 5mm alloy for the bracketry very very strong and sturdy. With the shaft into the master cylinder. Ive decided to go with a female rod end bolted through the handbrake rear. So there is 2 axis for the shaft to pivot off. I can get the brackets made up pretty cheap as Ive already got one made and the drawings are just sitting here. Pm me and i can sort you out with one Mike
  10. Hey Yeah mines not going on the road. Scrutineers are just worried about safety and how it works not how it looks at the end of the day - As long as it does the job its supposed to do then no hassles I based the construction of my handbrake on this one Mike
  11. Hey man Ive just about finished making my handbrake. Just taken the factory handbrake got an alloy bracket made up and brought a cylinder Pretty straight forward. Doesnt look as cool as the ones on trademe. But has cost me at least 1/3 of the cost I havent heard of any regulations in regards to the hydrualic handbrake and how and who they are made by ? Mike
  12. Hey bro Should be able to do that for ya no worries and just keep it at my place in hamilton. 0273395994 Let me know Mike
  13. Hey One of you calipers isnt leaking break fluid at all is it? For you to be bleeding it and the pedal to keep going to the floor there is some form of leak. Doesnt have to be an Air leak. But something isnt right. I would be checking both calipers and lines for leaks. If all else fails look to the master cylinder do what you can with that and if it still not working. Go buy a new master cylinder Mike
  14. As everyone else has said: Sims Pacific Metals down northway st or Scrap Metal Recyclers down on ellis st. Both sites have mint weighing weighbridges ...
  15. Well she runs Wired her up and cranked it over and got it running. Pretty rough though. Had it only running off the downpipe so bloody noisy. Tried to turn it off via key and killswitch but kept running. Ended up having to pull the ecu plug. Decided that the altenator was feeding the ECU 12volts when it was running so am yet to sort that. Got the intercooler piping in as well which is bloody mint Just gotta mount my bov now. Trying to sort radiator mountings and stuff but looks as though ive sorted that Front struts are done and am in the process of bolting them back in. Once the front is back down then the arse comes up and the old diff gets ripped out in light of the new one Cant wait to get the bloody thing running and taking it for a good cain around the track
