MMMINI'S NEW MINI PROJECT 64 MORRIS MINI MINOR
Nominal replied to mmmini's topic in Project Discussion
Looking good in the pics, even with spray cans. The cost of materials for a proper repaint is so high today! -
No, that looks like some critical bolts being left out.
-
My understanding is that it's related to the manufacturer GVM ratings, if it's rated as a heavy vehicle then it would be hard to get it reduced just by removing equipment. Heavy vehicle chassis ratings: modification thresholds to allow a heavy vehicle’s GVM to be altered (and its chassis rating to be changed) | Vehicle Inspection Portal (nzta.govt.nz) YMMV

You could have just rolled up without unpacking.

That sort of adaptor uses countersunk screws normally don't they? Most of the force on the gearbox would be torque/rotation so the mounting bolts will be loaded in shear so should be fine. How much power will you be transferring anyway

Nah, it'll still be a turd.

Thousand Dollar Supercar's 1988 Jaguar XJ-S 3.6

Obviously the correct answer is turbo barra. That would make a jag than runs. -
Who attaches the WOF sticker? More running around I suppose. I just bought an un-plated import. It had a WOF and when I arrived we ran it around to VTNZ and had the plates issued.

No security features on those plates, so you should be good to go on.
-
Pre-86 plates are the ones to have!

Looks like it has had a casting flaw that has been welded up and ground back.

Also some repairs in the boot floor area and seal lip And I got him to delete the aerial hole as it was broken off anyway Drove it home yesterday, barely made it to the nearest gas station but sweet after that. Missing a few bits for now. Delivered to paint shop today, but main man wasn't there. Will go discuss the plan tomorrow.

Rusty rust rust. The leaded seam between the guard (probably the same pressing as a Galaxie) and the headlight peak was going bad on both sides. Seam cut out and replaced

4BT swap should sort out that dieseling issue.

I dunno. Isn't there usually a lever that connects to the suspension somehow?
