  1. Hi @cletus hope you're well Hopefully another quicky for you Do you see any issues with this notch at all? Keeping in mind that it will also get plug welded and fish plated. It's made out of 10 Gauge CRS, I have the car construction manual but it doesn't really go into deal on C notches. https://www.murraykustomrods.com/store.php#!/1949-1954-Chevy-Car-C-Notch/p/124962205/category=32296533 Thanks
  2. @cletus - Thanks for that, looks like Ill go down the path of a much more "known" 4 link setup like the kit below then for the rear https://www.ridetech.com/product/weld-in-air4link-parallel/
  3. @cletus Couple of Q's for you when you have time Do you see any issues with the modifications done on the link below "in principle" to allow the front of a 1952 Belair to be airbagged? https://www.lowrider.com/how-to-tech/chassis-suspension/0603lrm-cheap-air-bag-suspension/ Do you see any issues with using the below kit to allow the rear of a 1952 Belair to be airbagged? https://www.jimenezbroscustoms.net/product-page/1949-1954-chevy-car-2-link If my questions are to broad just let me know
  4. Very generic question but.....Mustang 2 front ends to fit early 50's chevs. (Wanting to bag the car and this seems like the easiest option) Are their any brands from U.S.A that get the instant tick of approval?
  5. I just used some random alloy hard line from Ullrich, cut with pipe cutters and used pushed locks everywhere works a treat for a few years now Edit: see shitty old pic attached I found on my phone, wasn't that hard to do at all, just need patience and maths
  6. not sure who you are using for a cert, but ours got done 1 1/2 years ago with 7 switch control and flew through no worries? I actually use the individual bag control overtime I drive to get the car actually level
  7. as above, the supreme struggle is real, so much want but near impossible to do

    Gear oil

Could well be keen, how much we talking?
  9. I to embarking on this mission tonight, will let you know how I go if it makes any difference haha. My old hilux diff had this exact thing done so don't see any issue there
  10. Thread hijack: speaking of Aliexpress rivnut guns, which of those has anyone brought that didn't break/worked mint?
  11. Got certed a year ago, we had to have it hooked to the neutral safety switch and only work with key on acc, however it all runs though a relay so if you get in trouble only one wire has to pop off for full control
  12. Repairs on our car went like this - panel beater fixes many things - repair cert man pops in at various stages to take photos - panel beater says I'm done - repair cert man pops back with his 4 pages of forms fills them out with said photos and signs it off we had over 250 photos taken of the repairs from the repair cert guy Who knows we had it pretty bad I think, surely there would be a few that are not that hard core/luck of the draw I guess Edit: we were flagged at the border for rust though, no flag = good times
  13. unless you have photos and repair cert, if they spot old repairs THEY WILL grind back your paint. If they spot the slightest amount of surface rust THEY WILL make you get it sand blasted (coming from experience) hold on tight for a long and heart braking ride Bottom line you have to get a repair cert or you will be screwed. Just getting a repair cert will screw you though
