  1. There's a 110 for sale at the moment? Not mine, no.
  2. I almost bought a two tone green one from a car yard back in the early 2000s. They fit me perfectly, everything just feels like it's in the right place. Decided against it and ended up buying the 110. Maybe one day I'll get one.. Maybe.. Has to be factory kit and two tone or pure white with a slat grille. It's amazing how you made yours from a drift project into a beautiful street car. I've come back to this thread multiple times to gaze upon its awesomeness.
  3. Geeeez, let her use a table mate...
  4. It's fucking sick man. You should be super proud. I'm mad envious!
  5. I made some changes to the NA6C today that I'll provide an update when I finish it off, so.. probably never.
  6. That's the one. Looks are deceiving. The paint is terrible, filled with dust and bugs, there's a whole debacle that went on with that but yeah, it's still a great car just because it is an FD3S. Look good, go good.
  7. Yeah, the S13 chassis is great too. I'd love an S13 but same issue as you with FD. Too expensive now.
  8. It got to sit with its younger, stronger brother for the first time today
  9. Your tow rig is my favourite of them all. Not that I don't like the rest, I definitely do, but the wee 'murka truck is choice.
  10. If they got a low score on the machine then the self adjuster probably isn't working. Jab a screw driver into the access port in the back and click it round several times until the wheel is slightly grabbing when you're spinning it and it should stop instantly when the brakes are applied. The grabby should mellow over a few trips and the brakes will be functional. It should get you through the test and you can order new parts and then pull them all apart and replace shit at your leisure.
  11. Yeah, no use to me mate. I've cleared some convo's from my inbox so just fire something through.
  12. I think @Brock-Leeand @Beaver might have the skinny on such a device.
  13. They came in 4x110 as well but if a rough measure gets you 115 I would be very confident that they're 114.3
  14. I swear a while ago the cops were ticketing up a storm on what they deemed "modified plates", this ranged even as far as plates that had been bent on the ends or cut to fit inside the smaller available area of 90's Japanese cars. The law is potentially a big vague there as according to the NZTA now: Display of number plates All plates must be fixed securely to the vehicle in an upright position. They must be displayed so that all the characters (numbers and letters) are clearly visible at all times. A motorcycle, moped, tractor, trailer or trade plate must be fixed on the rear of the vehicle. All other vehicles require two plates, one at the front and one at the rear. Number plate offences Only plates issued by Waka Kotahi are legal, which means you can’t make your own plate. Displaying a non-approved plate or something that could be mistaken for a plate could mean a maximum fine of $5000. If your vehicle requires plates, then they must be displayed. If your vehicle requires a front and rear plate then they must bear the same set of characters. Re-issuing number plates We will review reissuing black, silver and white plates if the following criteria are met: The plate is the last plate on the vehicle at the time of cancellation ie it hasn’t been replaced by another plate. The plate is in very good condition and hasn’t been painted, cut or tampered with. The plate hasn’t been personalised. The applicant needs to provide official documentation from the period the vehicle was originally registered confirming the plate, make and model, ie the certificate of registration, an insurance policy, a warrant of fitness sticker or repair receipts. Unacceptable documentation is a Statutory Declaration, a handwritten receipt, the Vintage Car Club document or the Alternative document from our office. If you are reregistering your vehicle and meet the above criteria please email ReuseOfPlates@nzta.govt.nz Note: Black and silver style plates cannot be remade. If you’re applying to reuse these plates, you must have the original set. This email address is not for any other plate query so please email info@nzta.govt.nz in the first instance.
  15. That's OK for the reuse of plates people but then you'll still need a plate to put on after it's revinned.
  16. I would suggest getting into contact with @Archetypeabout getting a replica plate made. I wouldn't guarantee it would pass a check but it would almost definitely pass a photograph for the reuse of plates people. I'd suggest putting the replica on the back and the original on the front as fronts are typically more damaged.
  17. Seems to be another case of grey areas. The documentation allows for interpretation in both directions and as such, certifiers will do exactly that, typically erring on the side of caution/least chance of them being held responsible. That's not a fault of the certifiers, they're just trying to protect their livelihood. Equally, these grey areas allow for the slop of components between a magnitude of vehicles thus giving us more ability to modify for an OK cost. The step above would be if we had to be like Germany and have TUV cert on every component otherwise you can't use it, then modifications and cars as a hobby would stretch beyond the budget of your average punter. It's a fine line of nonsense tightrope that we and the legislators walk. Also, why is that person not using Clint? They probably have a stack of other terrible mods and the suspension arms one just got added to the list.
  18. I'll take a look tomorrow mate. Too cold and dark to be out in the shed at the minute.
  19. I have one of those that I snapped the jaws on. Top quality. Happy to send you whatever other turd part you want from it if it's the same.
  20. Casual what, ten times more than factory?
  21. Foive hunnid horse in the little blighter. Cripes. That'll have you taking bites out of the base of your seat for a few weeks
  22. I've no issue with the Escort flares but just curious if you'd considered L34 Torana flares, not sure if they would be too big.
