Felt is a must. Packs out the carpet and makes it nicer and if you glue your carper to your underfelt it will stay in place better and hold up longer/won't look like ass really fast. Also the black tar product will get stuck to your carpet and will rip the carpet. Won't rip the underfelt.

i got the 50mil as the 80mil didnt come in the large pack size that i was after. will buy the 80mil for the front half of my kombi

yeah i used it in my kombi what @JoKer linked if from my build thread but all my images have dropped off the cloud. i originally saw it used from @oftensideways and then got some for my kombi. would trade again.

Dam ill have to come for a ride out to your place. Good roads out there. Hopefully weather is better next month. Only a few more months and day light savings will be here and everyone will be rather enthusiastic again and chomping at the bit.

Wonder how much heat soak will go from the hot water side to the cold water side of those pipes if you plan on running them that close together. Or are you planning on spacing them the likes of an inch apart? Definitely my highlight of builds going on. Keep up the good work.

Yeah that's me out, as @RUNAMUCK said that is beach hop weekend. Two years in a row I'll miss out now. Guess I'll just have to wait another year to get my ass pounded with a bunch of dudes in the back country. Thanks covid19.

man what a bitch this has been to do over self isolation time. a second pair of hands would had been extremely helpful today cant wait to get the front all sorted and get it on the ground. just assembling it to get it to the new shop. once it is here ill make new break lines and go over everything else. make sure she is ready to go.

its such good set up. i keep seeing bug turbo set ups and haven't really found any bay window kombi ones. that one is a 1915cc and has 138bhp. also 1st one ive seen with a smaller t3 size turbo on them. everyone else seems to have huge turbos. and also pretty much every other one is in a bug.

I had reacted and commented on this photo a long time ago. And at the time I'm sure I saved it. Well after some hunting via stalking my own moves on Facebook on a lot of vw groups I found it. So I'm going to leave this here so I cant loose it again. Perfect.

man she has been some time since the last post..... I think old mate @Geophy ended up getting some steel and i asked him to get me some right angle in the end. Welded that on and then it really started to get in the way at the shop. Invited old mate Geophy over again and got him on the grinder he went over allllllll my welds and made them flat for me. Making it easier to stick the cladding on when i am ready/have the money. the main reason was so i could get it painted and get it out of the work shop. we had been planning on moving the shop and it was not going to be able to fit in the new shop. I had re upholstered a chair for a mate and he owed me a favor so i hit him up seeing if he could paint the caravan before i had to leave it sitting out side. boom! Not the best of paint jobs but we have paint so its now sitting at my mums place out in the weather as we move places and sort our own lives out again. I would really like to get back into it and get it covered in for at lest winter. so i think thats the next goal. By cladding and material for the floor.

cheers team. i was sick of looking at a fisher and paykel appliance. i had originally wanted a different style graphic but just didn't work out and i kept coming back to find this bus. very happy to see it done. i just need to get back to the shop and finish lowering it.

yeah i done upholstery on Brendan Everett 54 two door. have the og door cards sitting here and was going to throw them during my moving process

@Brennan with your render you did is that how you plan on doing your door cards. cause if so i have some og trim out of a 54 chev that i was about ti tip this coming month

well then this covid-19 kicked in and beach hop was no longer happening and i didn't have any idea when i was going to be moving into the new shop. so i mentioned to a few people that i was going to try lower the kombi, had a few things to bolt in and hopefully lower it. @Beaver @bobby1930 and @Geophy popped over and well bolts didn't want to come off which wasn't really an issue just meant the kombi would be in the middle of the shop till i sorted it. no real drama didn't know when i was moving. i had mentioned to a mate a while back With beach hop on the way i really wanted to mix the kombi up a bit and add something a bit different to it. other than it been a white box. I had mentioned this style to a mate a couple of times in passing and he said shit i draw that up for you. wasn't to much longer he popped passed work and traced the wheel arch/door and said it'll cost _ _ _ _ _ _ _ amount. i said hell yeah go ahead which i wasnt really fused about happening any time soon now that beach hop was off. but then covi-19 really kicked in. 2 nights out he turns up and slaps this on the side. and now the kombi is stuck in the old shop with new graphics on it and no wheels or suspensions till lock down is off or till i can lest get over there to bring it to the new location.

Time to book accommodation for November.

yeah ill be in my kombi this year and will be sleeping where i park, should hopefully be there monday or tuesday which will be nice for a change if i can actually make it
