I am a big fan of industrial/military looking stuff and that shit hits the mark pretty well for me.

I don't mind thrashed, every car gets that. At least you know it will have been seviced properly...

i think the green is just vinyl stick on stuff?

and also i delivered them a transit van once that had be vinyled green. In conclusion this means they probably have mint paint jobs under the stickers

edit: and yeh they are army. Always a couple parked up at the army base thing on gt north rd

never really known how army treats vehicles.. can totally imagine them being thrashed within an inch of their life to death until theyre dead, or being serviced once a week and sitting there..?

I was looking last night, suggestion was that they were just the standard green ones that had been scotchbrighted and matt clear cloated.

I one had a corolla wagon that was an ex rental, 180kms on it, everyone sucked their teeth and said I shouldnt have done that, but it was by far the most reliable car i have ever owned..

I rode in the back of a newish hilux that was an army guys car. (army owned it) it rode so nicely off road. BUt he didn't fuck around. After all, it wasn't his car. He was a pretty hard man too.

I have met Bart and He AIN'T normal

We had them when I was in the air force.. The early attempts (2003 ish)saw them turn half green / white due to shonky paint jobs..

They might their shit sorted now to prevent such peely-ness? They would be reasonably well serviced but will have been given death, I have towed a few planes with them when there was not much else available.. Not too flash for the clutch.

Also I reckon the navaras are not that great to drive, a little bit under powered, pretty horrid handling and sloppy feeling transmission, turning circle is massive too..

This is all good stuff.

Probably need a new/sensible car and I liked the look of these as they are 4wd but not too tall. And definately not a soccer mum unit.

I have given so many people shit about their wanky 4wd's that only ever get dirty if there are roadworks on the way to school that I have to be carful what I buy for fear of ridicule.

I saw a bunch at auction over a year back. Turners I think but not sure. I was told they were Matt clear coated over nice paint.

Haha, I had to change 6 of them over onto muds. We had one come in once, complaining of a weird noise. The roof had had a machine gun mounted on it and was all warped, best part was all the shell casings that had gotten down the front of the dash and were rattling about..
Oil leak? What oil leak? That puddle under the car is just sweat from all that horsepower....
