Just failed a wof in my daily for it blowing smoke. Its a real heap of shit and not worth spending much on. Its just to get me round and is other than that quite reliable.

Havent done compression test but am today, Im assuming its rings. Blowing blue smoke
Couldnt care less about smoke, just want to pass wof for another 6months so any tricks or any way of fixing temporarily?

Put in some stop smoke. I forgot which one was the good one, but it sure did work enough to get a wof.
Also, park the car down the road from the wof place overnight to give it a short trip there so the car is still cold so the oil is nice and thick still. Or just put in thicker oil and stop smoke

change your oil to the thickest shit you can find made for "classic" cars. Not as much will leak past rings.

edit: thick type oil is cheap too so if you want just put original oil in a container and swap it back out after wof if you wanted
