Just wanting to get a couple of mufflers deleted out of my system. Fuck all work required really and only about 1m of pipe with a couple of slight bends.
Already off the car also.
Just wanting to know some recomendations of somewhere cheap that will do a decent enough job. Doesnt need to be flashy.
Or alternatively if a tron GC has a welder and wouldnt mind doing it for a box or bottle of choice flick me a pm.

Cheers guys.

I don't know how cheap you want, Pitstop actually done a pretty good job on mine, basically refitting the whole exhaust + resonator.

cut, bend and welding. about 1-1.5 hours Job, 95 dollars very reasonable.

Amazes me how one person can soak up a whole forums attention while baffling the shit out of them and contributing fuck all.

That seems reasonable. I've always found pitstop to be on the higher end of the price spectrum though.
Their service was always below par also. That was in Rotorua though.

The muffler shop. the big yellow muffler shop. Down by the railway on killarney road.

I had some resonators added once and it was surprisingly cheap. Was very happy.

Go to Coby on 21 Euclid Ave in Te Rapa and get a price. The GC dude from the Te Rapa Muffler shop has gone there. He does nice work and usually charges base fee for what you get done. An hour or an hour and a half is actually quite a lot of work on an exhaust though, so perhaps those prices around $100 aren't too bad?

I'd just go with Coby though, they are GC's and do nice work. You could say the dude with Opels sent you, but he probably won't remember me

I was suprised at the amount of labour qouted. I thought it would of taken someone who knows what they were doing only about half an hour.
Might drop in and see him shortly just for comparison.

Coby do nice work, but in my experience charge heaps.
The Charged me $1700 for a job they quoted at $800.
I ended up having to provide the V bands and they didn't put flexi's in as I asked.
This was for a full 3 inch exhaust from the turbo back + wastegate piping.
I got them to knock some of the dollars off their price but still cost me a fair bit.

By the time someone gets your car from the carpark, puts it on the hoist and checks the problem out - its the best part of 10 minutes.
Same with taking it off the hoist, parking it up and writing up a job card. There is 20 minutes straight away..

Half hour job plus 20 minutes of prep work - rounded up to an hour is pretty typical..

Its a bit off what I was expecting at both places. I guess i can understand what K-trips is saying though.
Meh, have to suck it up and get it done though. Hard not attracting attention rolling around in an exhaustless v8 lol.
