As its Club-K's 10th Birthday this year I have hired out track 3 at the Taupo circuit on Saturday 9th June 2012 to have some fun.

Spots & Costs
There is between 12-16 spots on the day as I want to keep numbers low and managable giving drivers as much time as they want. Final numbers of who has paid etc on the club-k site http://www.club-k.co...d.php?tid=24166

12 cars $100ea
14 cars $90ea
16 cars $80ea

$40 deposit to confirm your spot, remainder early May once numbers confirmed.

If you want to hit the track but dont want to race all day, I am planning on having 2-3 sessions, $20 a session (15-20 mins) so that you can go for a fang then partake in spectating. If this is more you just let me know here anyways. would prefer payment upfront but not essential.

Whos invited ?
Preferance was given to club-k members (KP Starlets and KE Corollas) but I have decided to open up the remaining spots to any other Pre 84 old school vehicles be they rwd or fwd.

Safety Requirements
Basic safety check on day, battery secure (not by bungies like one year), pedal travel, tyres good (at start of day). WOF and Reg not required but trailer to/from event please. Helmet, closed shoes and at least cotton overals.

Final Notes
BBQ lunch / sausage sizzle on the day. If we get 16 drivers free otherwise gold coins.

Just drop me a message here and ill get back to you with details.

Reasons have already been stated above, its the 10th birthday of Club-K, preference goes to Toyota K series cars, to make up numbers the offer has been extended to other Toyotas of similar age.

No more spam please unless you intend on going.

Will it be the sort of day where anyone sliding or attempting to will be kicked out or slightly more relaxed as long as you arent 'drifting'

Just like every other day where if you drift/slide/lose traction more than a F1 car does during a race, you'll get booted off.

have changed first post ... was a copy and past and add to .... it now reads ...

Preferance was given to club-k members (KP Starlets and KE Corollas) but I have decided to open up the remaining spots to any other Pre 84 old school vehicles be they rwd or fwd.

so bring your minis and imps and bugs and anythign else that will make it a fun day.

As for drifting ... it is not a drift day. should you give it to much gas comming out of the corner so long as you dont piss up someone elses lines or get in their way its only going to affect your track time :P , if it rains then you learn car control in a controlled environment ... but dont do it on every corner if you get what i am saying. Generally towards the end of the day when everyone has had enough and there is still an hour to go and 4 cars still going hard it becomes game on and i dont mind (too much).

as ned said, they are a good day and we ar pretty lax about the running of it but within the rules of the track.
