Ta fellas.
Currently under consideration by the BMW race committee for the 'open series', although not too hopeful.
So probably a road/track slag if/when it's done.

Fuck you're a retard.

Doesn't the open series have stupidly fast/crazy cars like that 2002 turbo thats highly modified and I think they even let Group A and supertouring cars in as well? Surely they'd let this slide?

Yeah it does. Seems it's ok to race V8 E46s but not to recess the firewall 40mm and shift the engine back!
Meh.

Fuck you're a retard.

awesome man. Sweet skills there. Any particular reason you went for a 2.8 rather than a 3.0? Just that crashed one came up?

Yeah pretty much. The E46 was our daily drive and was written off on the motorway while the wife was driving.
3.0 would have been nice, it's a heaaaps better motor.

Fuck you're a retard.

Nice man, not trying to take away from anything at all, it's fucking choice, I love E30 2doors. The only thing I would do is soften the edge of the flares, that sharp curve takes away from it, I think. Phenomenal stuff though, love it.

Agreed. Not over happy with the flare at the moment. Some suspension travel would also be nice.
I may cut them off all together and go bolt on ala

Also pondering wheels. Some 16x8/9 3 piece would be apples/hard to find.

Fuck you're a retard.

As awesome as that would be, the E46 gear looks to have pushed the track out quite a bit. This would make it quite difficult to fit decent offset wheels. In saying that, anything is possible, and with the help of some super wide guards you could easily get away with it.

Another option worth considering, is a different style of wheel altogether. This approach would definite get mixed reactions, but I think it looks good, very DTM/STW.

You've probably already seen that car, yours looks inspired by it in some ways.

Tracks about this much bigger, bit more at the front.

On 17x8 et35. Not easy finding 5x120 wheels in decent sizes at 15-16".

Looking for an older '70s? style for it. More profile less wheel, chrome bumpers etc.
Also like ally droptanks and side exhausts ha.

Fuck you're a retard.
