Anything to make it less likely the mrs will get rear ended by anyone (other than me) the better in my opinion.

I feel so lost.
My wee mini was loaded onto a trailer and taken upto the tinbashers this arvo.

But to hold me over I got a mate to mock up what shes gonna looklike when shes done.
The colour is about right...altho maybe the silver/grey will be a darker shade.

Why are you using a stromberg over a good old SU? I haven't had much to do with strombergs but SU's are really good and nice and easy to tune.

hint - don't put flanges on an LCB manifold - you will never be able to get the buggers out with the engine in. And there is a reasonably good chance they will crack sometime in the future.

The strommies are super easy to settup and tune as all the adjustments are on the outside and easily reachable and also they are supposedly better for cold starting...how im not sure but thats what I have read/been told.

Having said all of that I know NOTHING about carbs. ECUs, daughter boards, chips and injection no worries but carbs are so alien to me.

I really only want to put flanges on it so if I feel so inclined I can take parts off and swap them round or even put a side exit exhaust on just to piss off the neighbours/wife.

yea thats him, I find it hard not to reccomend him to people. I got my manifold from him, Its slightly easier to use in the fact that it has a slide on and clamp set up, not using flanges but still being removable

I've got a set of those LCBs. The race versions. Guttered to find out that because I have an earlier model that they won't fit! Luckily I got them fairly cheap!

Engine swap - my favourite combo at the moment is the 1293 with supercharger. A good all round motor, I might build one for the MK1 I'm looking at buying

Yeah sorry I couldn't make it in Sunday Sammy! With my MX off the road, and Darryl's urgent need to get his car going again I just flat out ran out of time this weekend. And this coming weekend I have Zac's MX5 to paint and Juleon's clutch to do!
