Vintage Grumble
Hello, I've got a new daily. Its grotty and needs a bit of work, but i'm sure it will turn out fine. This is going to be a bit of a reverse project, its lowered/tinted/on rims/panels are all different colours etc, and I'm going to return it to standard visually. Its running an S14 SR20DET and 5 speed, with a std lux LSD in the back, which livens things up a bit. I also need to ready it for a cert. So the plan is this: Return to, or very near std height. Fit standard steel rims. Remove tints. Finish off exhaust, which includes plumbing in the screamer pipe, lols. Fit 2x drive shaft loops. Have rust removed from pillars. Hopefully get a cert/wof/reg. Give it a general clean up inside and out. One day give it a quick panel and paint. (quicker than 4 years) Once all that's done, then I can play with the motor. I have no idea what power its making now, but they are 220hp standard, and this one has a nice little front mount that's hidden behind the grill, and a huge waste gate, which the guy thought may have a 12psi (7psi is std) spring in it. The general consensus is you can run up to 15psi safely on a factory engine/fuel/turbo set up, and it should make 250hp atw's. Will post pics of its grossness soon. Retards, VG.

Vintage Grumble
Puhuhuhuhu, I wish I had the skills/money needed to do that. The paint scheme tho, that would be doable. I found $4.00 and a Bob Marley CD in it last night, mean.

Vintage Grumble
SET YOUR FACES TO EWW: I have a full set of spare doors, the same pinky red as the guards, and plan to get a new bonnet and tail gate. This thing makes all the PISSSST and WAAARRRPPPP sounds. Tucked away nicely, can't really be seen from the outside. SCREAMER PIPE CHER. Much to do, can't wait to get it road legal. Vintage Grumble
I don't know if I care for your tone young man. Anyways, I bunged a poost gauge on it, its poosting 12psi, so could safely go 2-3 psi more. I also found the front is sitting on the bump stops, and the rear is about 10mm away, they have also removed the load spring, puhuhuhuhu. If anyone has a set of bog std rear springs laying about, i'll be ken on those. My side shed will be empty in 2 weeks, so will get stuck into it then, have also taken a week off to get it done. Oh, it runs around 2 psi at 100kmh, it it normal for turbo cars to run a little poost on the open road, or is it best to be completely off poost? Regards, VG. ODB
Mine tends to be in vacuum when I'm open road cruising when a little load then yeah just into boost. Varies on engines/load etc right .... There is no right/wrong answer here??
Vintage Grumble
I have much to learn about these turbo things. Assume if its off boost on the open road, it may be better on gas?
ODB
Hmmmm churbros and better on gas dont go well hahaha. Personally i found externally venting bovs made all my cars' economy go to shit and when you shifting get your foot pretty much right off it - not up it.
