We normally meet up at the Feilding Hotel for Karaoke or banter with the locals, after 8.30pm is a safe time to turn up but some OSers will be there earlier and on the turps if you feel that way inclined. Saturday morning, swapmeat, sausages, speedway sauce, sore feet, splendid times. If you want to roll in with the group then meet up with the swapmeet stand group (details below). Everyone else just head in when you are ready and we will probably meet up doing the rounds. Saturday lunchtime grab yourself a bite to eat or have a wank if you are so inclined then be ready to go at 2pm for the cruise Saturday afternoon (2.00pm), meet with your cars outside South St West for the cruise to a local museum with some sweet cars and bikes. (leaving promptly at 2.30pm so would pay not to piss around) Saturday night (6.30pm), festivites at the Redcraze Room on the grounds of Manfeild. Please respect the room and bring $10 a head please - same for any +1's. (meatpack draw is at 8pm) Sunday morning, (10.15am), everyone meet back at the Redcraze Room for final clear out and vacuum through. (normally takes 30 minutes if everyone pitches in and we have a pre-clean up on Saturday night) Sunday brunchtime (11.00am), meet at Essence cafe for coffee and big brekkies if you can handle it. Discuss OS swapmeat activities here - //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/43550-palmy-swapmeat-2nd-august-2014/ For anyone wanting to put stuff for sale on the OldSchool swapmeet stand or meet up with a group to cruise into Swapmeet. Meet outside the Feilding Hotel at 7.30am and we will roll into swapmeat at 8.00am to set up the stand - won't be waiting around if you run late. If you are selling stuff then have some technical details (like PCD) and a price already on your goods and write down the minimum price you will take so the person manning the stand can negotiate for you and also hand over your phone number to contact you just in case Please be back at the cruise meet spot at 12.00pm to pick up any unsold goods. Car related stuff only. We need 3 people to man the stand. I'll take the early shift of 7.30am till 9.00am, Sprak has said he is keen to man the stand for a stint so need one more person. The 2 other shifts will be 9.00am till 10.30am and 10.30am till 12.00pm. Any volunteers? I cannot think of any other way to make this work so we need someone to bring a wagon/van or tow a trailer to put all the stock into and take it into the swapmeat. Anyone have something? If there is a trailer/wagon/van available to come up from Wellington then I'll pay you $20 to carry some stuff for me like rims - which I can drop off to you on Thursday night. Please remember to bring $10 cash per person on Saturday night and that includes any plus 1's too. It covers the cost of hiring the room and meatpack for the raffle. If you are at the Redcraze room before 7.30 then you get an entry into the meatpack draw for your $10. You can prepay before the weekend into the OS account if it is easier, use reference of "Swapmeat 14" and your username plus PM me telling you have done so.. KKtrips Posted July 29, 2014 Author Share Posted July 29, 2014 Important announcement - if you want to add some of your shit to the swapmeat sale stand then there is 2 ways to do it.One - get to the Feilding hotel on Friday night between 8 and 9pm (any later and people will be drunk and it may be too hard to sort) and load your gear into one of the 2 wags heading into swapmeat or get to the Feilding hotel before 7.45am on Saturday morning (any later and we will be gone) and load up then.Two - carry your gear into the swapmeat and leave it with whoever is looking after the plot at the time. (you may get charged an additional $10 to enter by taking goods in to sell - but I'm not sure)Either way you want to get it there is fine but when you turn up with your shit, you must have 3 things in writing to hand over to whoever is running the stand (so there is NO argument about underselling your shit) your asking price, your bottom dollar and finally your phone number for the day (and leave your cellphone on dingus) If you don't bring these things then don't complain if the sales pitch is *shrug* "I dunno what it is, giz a dollar and it's yours"If you want to successfully sell your shit then I recommend you at least have a written description of what the part fits and as many more details as you can supply - the more the better. Then attach the description to the item somehow so the stall holder is not asked the same question 10 times an hour. Lastly - please remember to meet outside South St West at 12pm to collect your money or any unsold goods. Uncollected shit will be left on the side of the road or sold to the local scrappy for Saturday night hookers and blow. Feel free to join the convoy in at 8am still but I just realised that if you are not setting up a swapmeat stand or in an American/Aussie car then they may tell you to piss off and go to the spectators carpark. Sparkle Posted July 29, 2014 Share Posted July 29, 2014 Hai guyz, As Kk as mentioned above, we'll be meeting at the manfeild entrance/south street west at 2pm for the cruise. It will take approx 30 mins from manfeild on the direction we'll be taking to a car collection just out of feilding, so make sure ya grab some gas before meeting us at 2. We may stop for photos on the way, but if not, it'd be appreciated if we assemble the cars choicely for some snaps at the museum. Can you please all make sure you have $10 on you, per person for the museum entry. Am told it's very much worth it! From the museum its a short 2min drive back into feilding via the main road so you can stock up on earl grey and sunflower seed cruskits before the evening fun times. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Everyone please remember to bring cash for the museum entry and remember it's $10 for Saturday night to pay for the hall. (you can pay directly into the OS account if it is easier but needs to be deposited today if so) Lastly, it's not a rule but it is expected that everyone pop by the Red-craze room promptly on Sunday at 10:15 to help tidy up from the night before. It takes maybe 1/2 to 3/4 an hour if we have everyone pitching in. Being hungover or useless isn't an excuse.
