Cheers guys.

I'm not a v8 sorta guy. If anything it would be a 6 but the diesel is so economical. The idea of daily driving a full body wagon and then cruising down to see the family 600km away and back for less than 1/3 of the price of the val.. It's pretty mean.

Plus with the turbo back on it will be funny as fuck!

Was trying to figure out what was going on with the front of it, then saw the picture with the Pontiac front and my jaw dropped. What a evil looking car.

Need photos of coal rolling.

Edit: was that a HZ holden grill/indicators/part of nosecone?

who ever the IHC fucktard was who fitted that yucker than a 91 of straight DOT4 front clip is, they deserve 50 dick punches.

It looks heaps less more meke with the OG parts.

And the LD means it wont suffer from being Chev powered. I fucking love the LD28. You can run them at full noise until the end of time, and they just wont quit.

I take it you're already planing your trip down to central for the blossom fest in this beast?

The front was so crazy. They must have shunted something and not been able to find the grille parts so cut the front 4 inches off the guards and bonnet and grafted some shit on.

Was an hz grille and indicators, bumper unknown and headlight bezels were made of solid steel and ??? Lamps.

I had great joy in literally tearing it off and leaving at the scrappys

Enginewise it's typically sweet, not painfully slow but no speed demon. Once up on the plane it trucks along mint.

Sounds awesome like Any other L6 while being spanked.

I have a turbo kit lined up but have been trying to carry out this do it once do it right and concentrate on the basics first.. thing

Mate - this has to be one of the coolest wagons - love it - The LD conversion is right up my alley lol - i hope your speedo is in miles an hour.

Keep up the good work - looks like its fallen into the right hands.

When you strap the turbo on apparently just run an exhaust temp gauge (forget the temp keep it under) and keep it under 15psi boost or itll snap the crank (must be a diesel think as those cranks spin up huge boosted pressure in an l28 petrol).

good work, looks much more awesomer.

 

theres a good chance it was fitted with that front to 'update and modernise' its look back in the day, instead of buying a new big expensive hearse. have seen a couple of hearses with similar mods.

You're hinge was alot straighter so it would seem!

Put the headlight adjusters in but just as sloppy as the ones I made. Plastic life. If I find some online I'll get a set for you too.

Have enquired with frankspontiacsparts for the surrounds,some NOS ones on eBay but $250+ freight.

I'll see if I can get second handers for ok $.
