Shaz
Welcome, fellow bogan! Ā I have a VB sedan so there are a few of us uncouth Commodore folk lurking around here. Ā It's good to see more.
zuko
Thanks for the warm welcome, I have been wanting to get the plate bogan wagon "BGNWGN" for quite a while haha
KKtrips
If you want to find some springs to fit then I can suss the part numbers for brand new ones. They may be very early in my build thread as I lowered mine in the first week of owning it. Ā Edit - here you go the part number for Dobinsons Springs (available from your local BnT) Ā Front - C21-084V and you can cut MAXIMUM half a coil off these, any more and they become uncaptive. (replace the front shocks too for peace of mind) Rear - C21-085V plus you will need to run shorter than stock shocks (BnT should be able to tell you the part number for those when you order the springs)
zuko
Absolute ledgend!. How much lower than stock are they?
KKtrips
This view may skew it a little because it was taken from the bonnet height but it's a good idea of stock vs lowered so not SUPER low but reasonable and is driveable over most speed humps without too many problems. I think this was with the extra half coil cut off the front and after it took about 5 or 6 months of time for the springs to properly settle down. Ā Ā This was about 3 weeks after I had lowered it and it still had the 4 cylinder motor in it which is a bit lighter than the 202. I also hadn't cut the half coil off the front springs and it had not had a chance to settle in at this stage. Ā

zuko
Was really surprised to see them up on tm and had to have them. Does anyone have any advice on what tire size i should fit to these wheels?
e30-323ti
Same, esp. in that good condition. Ā Some 215 or 225/45's would be a nice fitment, pretty common size to, so not heaps of $$ ea.
Shakotom
Got those wheels on yet mate?

zuko
Im was planning on using some metal polish on the lips of my R3's to bring them back to a nice shine. Is that the right call? I know your not ment to use metal polish on anything with clearcoat or chrome plating im just not sure if the lips have clear or are chrome etc. Any advice would be awesome
KKtrips
There is an awesome thread around on polishing your wheels using your car, an axle stand and running the car in gear. I think it was written by Hemi. I'll try to remember to look for it when I have time. edit - here you go - //oldschool.co.nz/index.php?/topic/26628-simons-guide-to-polishing-your-wheels/ Not sure if the photos links are bung or if it is work blocking them but it has the words so may help.
